Overview
Mechanical & Plumbing VDC BIM Coordinator role at ENG. Responsibilities
Lead multidisciplinary modeling teams across complex engineering projects. Supervise and mentor modelers, ensuring adherence to best practices, project standards, and timelines. Proactively identify missing or conflicting information, manage RFIs and RFCs efficiently, and conduct in-depth Quality Control reviews across assigned disciplines. Influence modeling strategies and ensure seamless collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders. Qualifications
Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is essential. Solid experience modeling HVAC and plumbing in Revit for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential construction, including process piping, ductwork, sheet metal, mechanical equipment (pumps, AHUs, RTUs, chillers, boilers), and plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary drainage, gray water, stormwater, medical gases, compressed air lines, pumps, heaters, hangers). Experience coordinating or clash-detecting through Navisworks (Revizto acceptable but Navisworks prioritized); knowledge of BIM coordination, clash reports, QAQC, and model accuracy. Mechanical or civil engineering bachelor’s degree (architects considered only with extensive MEP modeling and coordination experience). Mandatory Requirements
Excellent English—spoken and written. Engineering degree (civil or mechanical). +5 years of experience using Revit and Navisworks for large-scale MEP projects. Skilled in QAQC and able to anticipate issues by leveraging team strengths. Strong understanding of end-to-end project scope, kickoff/setup, requirements, standards, and related technical documentation. Experience managing project budgets with a focus on cost control and alignment with project objectives. Experience managing teams of modelers and interacting with clients. Excellent communication skills. Nice to have: Familiarity with U.S.-based construction projects.
