Citi’s Commercial Bank ("CCB") is looking for Full‑Time Associates to join the bank. This role is specifically to support the Industrials, Consumer and Services ("Core East") coverage team based out of our New York office and supporting bankers and client relationships on the East Coast.
The Core East Team within the Commercial Banking Group finds ways to help our clients to maximize their growth while taking full advantage of Citi’s banking products. That means knowing all about our deposit and lending, as well as our cash management, trade, FX (foreign exchange) and capital markets solutions. The Full‑Time Associate Program strives to bring in the best and brightest talent and support them as they develop into the next generation of commercial banking leaders globally. The Associate receives a foundation of knowledge and training required to contribute as a valuable resource on a relationship coverage team. Associates receive real‑world work and add value to their teams during their time at Citi, with significant hands‑on activity supporting the client base of the team.
The role of Coverage team members is to serve as a thought partner to our clients, working closely with them to deliver the full breadth of Citi’s solutions to help them fund their operations and expand both locally and overseas.
Responsibilities
Conducting company research and industry analysis
Analyzing financial data and performing financial modeling focused on company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, and pro‑forma analyses
Taking ownership of the client experience, including partnering with Bankers and Product teams to determine which products to leverage in order to help clients achieve their goals
Playing a role in deal management and client presentation preparation, including creating business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memos, and other client‑related decks
Interacting with partners across the firm, including product, credit risk, investment banking, legal, marketing, operations, risk, compliance, and technology
Engaging daily with clients, prospects, and centers of influence
Adhering to target market, leveraging our value proposition, and coordinating the client coverage model
Understanding the various credit product types and how these solutions best fit client needs
Supporting bankers in the end‑to‑end credit process including new origination of credit and the monitoring of an assigned credit portfolio
Understanding and adhering to Citi credit policy as well as regulatory policies and procedures
Qualifications
2 years’ work experience, credit experience or commercial banking experience
Demonstrated interest in the core industries
Formal credit training preferred
Experience partnering with stakeholders to achieve goals
Relationship & pipeline management experience
Experience with Salesforce, Pitchbook, FactSet a plus
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills; written & verbal
Education: Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
FINRA licensing SIE, 63 and 79 required or due within 150 days of hire
Benefits & Compensation Primary Location: New York, New York, United States
Full‑time Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000
