Senior Research Engineer (Machine Learning)
We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a team focused on advancing the state of artificial intelligence through cutting‑edge research and large‑scale engineering. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building tools and systems that enable deep learning research at scale, contribute to open‑source initiatives, and collaborate across diverse technical disciplines.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize scalable machine learning systems and research platforms.
Develop deep learning libraries and infrastructure to support distributed training and experimentation.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable machine learning code.
Collaborate with research scientists, engineers, and cross‑functional partners to bring innovative ideas to life.
Contribute to open‑source projects and promote reproducible research practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in deep learning or machine learning system development.
Strong programming skills in Python and/or C/C++.
Hands‑on experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and distributed training techniques (e.g., FSDP, DDP).
Experience working with large datasets and data processing pipelines.
Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering best practices.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, research‑driven environment.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in software engineering through professional work or contributions to open‑source AI/ML projects (e.g., GitHub).
Prior experience contributing to widely used AI/ML open‑source tools or frameworks.
