Sales Operations Analyst (Contract) This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Sales Ops Analyst – Contractor to work with the North America Sales and Operations teams. This is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast‑growing company in a truly international environment.

Base pay range $50.00/hr – $50.00/hr

Location & Duration

Location – Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid)

Duration – 6 months

As a Sales Ops Analyst (Contractor), you will directly and visibly contribute to our overall success and daily operations within the North America Sales Ops team and will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Operations, Named Accounts.

This role is pivotal to the success of the sales organization, is collaborative in nature, and will continue to flex and grow as the organization matures. If you are a self‑starter who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments with minimal supervision, this is the role for you!

Business Insights

Perform data analysis to support pipeline management, forecasting, and sales performance metrics

Provide support for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews

Respond to ad‑hoc reporting and analysis requests from Sales and Executive teams

Maintain and enhance Salesforce, Clari, and GCP reports where needed

Master Data Management

Account Change Requests

Hierarchy updates (ensuring a sub account is aligned to its parent account)

De‑duplication of accounts

Firmographics (updating account information when our purchased data is incorrect)

Troubleshooting account data issues (e.g., sales team needs to quote a renewal, but needs to first ensure data on account is accurate)

Assisting With Sales Compensation Processes & Exceptions

Manual back‑office processing (submitting requests via Google Form for every opportunity)

Compensation credit splits

Uncovered territory credit

Writing up sales compensation exception requests

Sales Process Documentation

Assist in the automation, documentation, and streamlining of above sales operations tasks

Skills & Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales operations/analyst, or similar roles, preferred

Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas)

Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)

Google suite or MS suite

Nice To Have

SQL

Familiarity with sales compensation principles

Education Bachelor's Degree in any field or equivalent work experience

Compensation The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer, this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $45/hour to $50/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits. Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K.
