As the Influencer Strategy Manager, you play a vital role in bringing the Ulta Beauty story to life through engaging, authentic content that resonates with our ever‑growing community. Social media is a key driver of our business and often serves as one of the first touchpoints for our guests. In this role, you’ll collaborate across teams to connect all aspects of Ulta Beauty’s organic social presence with storytelling across our digital platforms, events, affiliate programs, and mailer activations. Your focus will be on increasing community engagement, strengthening brand loyalty and awareness, and delivering a best‑in‑class social content experience.
You bring a proven, results‑driven background in social media with expertise across earned, owned, and paid channels, as well as a deep understanding of reporting and meaningful performance measurement. You’re strategic and analytical yet equally creative and guest‑focused—part art, part science—with a passion for communication, influencer relationships, and innovative storytelling. With a strong pulse on the beauty industry, pop culture, and the evolving social landscape, you excel at crafting unique, impactful content that inspires our social community and attracts new guests to the brand. You’ll develop an intimate understanding of the Ulta Beauty community and bring creative excellence to content, campaigns, and social strategy. The ideal candidate is a forward thinker who understands both the long‑term goals of the organization and the distinct role each platform plays in driving brand growth. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Influencer Strategy and collaborates closely with other marketing team members and cross‑functional partners daily.
INFLUENCER STRATEGY Develop and execute insight‑driven influencer strategies (inclusive of paid partnerships, mailers, eventing, affiliate, owned, paid, etc.) that align with Ulta Beauty’s overall marketing calendar, business priorities, and brand vision Collaborate cross‑functionally with Social, Creative, Affiliate, and Integrated Marketing to bring to life always‑on, seasonal and brand launch campaigns through robust 360° activation plans. Lead the UB Collective strategy, including partnership calendars, campaign briefs, masterclasses, and day‑to‑day relationship management to deliver impactful and authentic experiences. Lead affiliate strategy for our UB Creates program, ideating and executing against plans to scale and enhance the program in collaboration with our Affiliate team. Support Sr. Manager in executing against net new long‑term partnerships and ambassador programs. Oversee all aspects of influencer partnerships, including contracts, negotiations, payments, invoicing, and budget management. Partner with Integrated Marketing, Creative, and Agencies to develop influencer mailer strategies that balance innovation, goals, and budget considerations. Support branded events and influencer trips from concept through execution—leading strategy, creative ideation, attendee management, and coordination with brand partners when applicable. Continuously ideate fresh, impactful ways to engage Ulta Beauty’s guests through first‑to‑market earned and owned social touchpoints. Demonstrate operational excellence by creating processes when applicable, establishing consistent communication with campaign stakeholders and maintaining an organized tracking system.
ANALYTICS & REPORTING Analyze, review, and report on the performance and effectiveness of influencer campaigns and ongoing content initiatives. Maintain a deep understanding of EMV (estimated media value), the impact of in‑market support and competitive landscape. Holistically track campaign finances and spend, keeping a pulse on investment levels and ROI per campaign, talent, etc. Develop monthly reports and presentations that track, measure, and evaluate performance against established KPIs, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
THOUGHT LEADERSHIP Serve as a strategic thought partner to cross‑functional teams, providing expertise and insights that strengthen influencer and social strategies. Foster a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and positivity, grounded in a commitment to quality and collaboration. Build and maintain authentic relationships with key influencer partners, talent managers, and agencies. Monitor the competitive landscape and community platforms to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and best practices. Stay ahead of social and influencer marketing trends, tracking innovative approaches and competitive activity to inform future strategy and ensure Ulta Beauty remains an industry leader.
YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH THIS BY Bachelor’s degree, 5‑6 years of influencer marketing or social/digital media experience; beauty industry experience preferred. Beauty enthusiast with strong commercial awareness of the beauty industry. Strategic thinker who can build creator‑led strategies rooted in insights. Adept in content storytelling, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it through creators/partners. Both creative and data‑driven mindset, understanding of influencer analytic tools (Tribe Dynamics) and how to apply learnings and establish insights. Ability to independently lead campaigns with strong project management skills and work cross‑functionally to meet project deadlines. Excellent communicator who is solution‑oriented, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions. Ability to lead and develop direct reports, experience managing and working with cross‑functional teams. Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for delivering a best‑in‑class consumer engagement experience for the Ulta Beauty guest.

The pay range for this position is $88,200.00 - $120,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part‑time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
