Overview The work is project based with a long list of deployments, upgrades, and refreshes. The team supports technical equipment across restaurant locations, including updating/swapping POS machines and OSs, AV equipment for Drive-Thrus, networked printers and scanners, handheld devices (Mobile POS devices/tablets), routers/switches, and general cabling (Cat5). The role focuses on network troubleshooting in a support or field support capacity, with many issues related to wireless/network connectivity on handheld order devices. The candidate will use ServiceNow as the ticketing system and remote tools (VNC) to diagnose and troubleshoot POS endpoints. This role helps ramp up field techs with installations via phone for pre/post installation of new hardware. Adaptability and a curiosity to learn new skills are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Provide network troubleshooting and support for POS endpoints and related hardware and software.

Assist with field technician installations and triage HW/SW configuration issues.

Utilize ServiceNow for ticketing and remote diagnostic tools (VNC).

Support field installations remotely and participate in post-install validation per Install Playbook Guidelines.

Collaborate with field techs to ensure smooth deployments across stores.

Maintain professionalism during team calls (MS Teams) and work from a designated quiet home workspace with at least one monitor; company provides laptop and docking station.

Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting skills in networking and hardware environments.

Experience with Windows (7/10) and hardware migration concepts.

Experience as a field technician or helpdesk, with knowledge of imaging equipment and network connectivity (Wi-Fi/wired).

Familiarity with ServiceNow, remote tools (VNC), and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence, OneNote, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams).

Ability to adapt quickly, learn new skills, and work with Install Playbooks.

Technology & Tools

POS hardware and software: HP RP9, HP EliotOne POS systems, Epson TM-L90, TM-88 III-VI, Bixolon SRP-300, PED devices, various scanners, and related peripherals.

Network gear: Cisco routers and Meraki switches

Operating systems: Windows 7/10

Software/Systems: ServiceNow, Marimba, VNC, Splunk, Jira, Confluence, OneNote, Microsoft Excel

Remotely Eligible/Work Arrangement REMOTE WORK: 100% remote. Requires a designated quiet home workspace with a desk and at least one monitor. Company provides laptop, docking station, power cord, and Phones for work. Professional setting required during team calls via MS Teams.

Compensation & Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
