Job Summary: Under the direction of the Program Manager I, OES, the Emergency Services Coordinator, OES (ESC) manages complex tasks relating to the provision of federal and state disaster logistical operations within the Logistics Branch. The position requires adaptability in a demanding and changing environment, balancing routine workload and short-term tasks while acting independently. The incumbent is required to meet regulatory and internal deadlines for all assignments. Additionally, the position may involve leading specific branch programs, traveling on short notice, working in a Joint Field Office (JFO), and providing support as necessary to Logistics Management Directorate. Working Conditions In Office - This position supports and manages the day-to-day business operations for Cal OES which is handled in an office location. This is not considered a hybrid telework position. DMV Pull Program - Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. The position(s) require(s) a valid Driver’s License (DL). You must answer the questions addressing your DL on your application. Ensure you provide your DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions. Conflict of Interest (COI) - This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code and is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the COI requirements may void the appointment.

The Directorate is comprised of four sections: Administrative Services, Human Resources, Grants Management and Logistics. In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted and requested to report to work outside normal hours. This service may require irregular work hours, travel to locations other than the official duty location, and may include duties other than those specified in the position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and you may be required to relocate to emergency sites.
