KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Payable
Oversee the full accounts payable cycle and supervise A / P staff.
Review subcontractor pay applications and lien waivers for accuracy and compliance.
Perform coding and review of general and administrative expenses.
Process weekly payable checks and collaborate with the A / P coordinator, project managers, and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable
Manage and execute all aspects of accounts receivable, including monthly owner billings using ComputerEase and Adobe.
Track retention and prepare monthly reports related to A / R and retention.
Ensure contract compliance when establishing schedules of values.
Project Accounting
Partner with the accounts payable and project accounting teams to ensure accurate coding and job costing of pay applications, rental invoices, and other project-related expenses.
Special Projects & Reporting
Conduct research and analysis on cost-related issues, insurance matters, and report design.
Support monthly close processes and assist with ad hoc financial projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction or contracting industry.
Proficiency in accounting software such as ComputerEase and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Uncontrolled environmental conditions.
Constant change in weather and site conditions.
Occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs., routinely lifting 50 lbs.
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, seeing and reading and reaching to perform everyday job tasks.
