Role: Head of Product Platforms Design team, S&P Dow Jones Indices
Location: US/New York; UK/London
S&P Dow Jones Indices (SPDJI) serves the financial services industry as a leader in providing indices used for investment products and portfolio benchmarking. Our indices underpin leading Exchange Traded Funds, exchange‑traded derivatives, structured products, OTC instruments, and play a crucial role in the investment landscape.
The Team The Product and Operations team oversees a diverse portfolio of index products—setting strategic priorities that drive growth, innovation, and client value across S&P Dow Jones Indices.
Within this organization, the Product Platforms Design team plays a central role in shaping user‑centered, scalable product platform experiences that power the full index lifecycle.
Responsibilities and Impact Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and communicate a holistic, user‑centric product platform design roadmap aligned to business strategy and measurable outcomes.
Execution and Governance: Drive disciplined execution aligned with the Investment Review Board calendar and standard work practices, ensuring timely delivery and accountability.
Stakeholder Alignment: Build and manage strong relationships across the organization, fostering transparency, alignment, and trust across senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
Team Development: Build, coach, and grow a high‑performing, forward‑looking team grounded in continuous learning, ownership, and results.
Decision‑Making: Serve as an escalation point and leverage challenges as opportunities to align priorities, reinforce strategic focus, and guide trade‑off decisions.
Risk and Value Management: Embed risk management into product roadmaps and drive adoption of changes that maximize business value realization.
Market and Domain Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of industry dynamics, ensuring that product design and delivery continuously reflect evolving market trends and user expectations.
Through this work, the role has direct impact on how S&P DJI delivers innovative, efficient, and customer‑centered index solutions—positioning the organization for long‑term growth and differentiation.
What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading large‑scale product or design organizations with complex stakeholder landscapes.
Proven ability to synthesize user needs, business strategy, and market dynamics into actionable product strategies.
Deep understanding of end‑to‑end product lifecycle management, from discovery to delivery.
Hands‑on experience applying Agile and scaled Agile (SAFe) practices to enable adaptive planning, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous value delivery.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts with clarity and impact.
Strong planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills, balancing short‑ and long‑term objectives.
Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and empower diverse, high‑performing teams.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating in financial services, technology, or data‑driven product environments.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, system integration, and platform design principles.
Track record of driving organizational change and embedding user‑centered design principles at scale.
Global mindset and ability to operate effectively across regions, cultures, and time zones.

Compensation/Benefits Information For US candidates: anticipated base salary range is $275,000 to $335,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
