Overview
Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Spa Director to lead the business, operations, and guest experience of our luxury spa. You will be accountable for profitability, compliance, operational excellence, and team leadership. This role demands both a strategic mindset and hands-on execution to deliver a thriving, guest-first spa. Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Compliance Own full P&L responsibility: budgeting, forecasting, margin control, and performance tracking
Oversee payroll and labor costs, ensuring operational balance and financial health
Manage invoicing, vendor contracts, expense control, and financial reporting
Ensure licensing, health & safety, regulatory, and tax compliance
Develop revenue strategies (pricing, memberships, new services)
Operational Excellence Lead day-to-day spa operations, maintaining luxury service standards
Leverage spa software (Zenoti preferred) for scheduling, guest data, and performance analytics
Establish inventory control, par stocking, vendor management, and procurement practices
Oversee facility maintenance, upgrades, and capital projects
Create, refine, and enforce efficient workflows, SOPs, and process improvements
Leadership & Culture Mentor and lead department heads, frontline service providers, and support staff
Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and monitor metrics
Build training and development programs to elevate team capabilities
Cultivate an engaged, accountable, guest-first culture focused on retention
Guest Experience & Service Innovation Ensure every guest journey is seamless, luxury-driven and consistent
Enhance and evolve membership, loyalty, and premium service offerings
Analyze guest feedback and implement service refinements
Introduce new services, packages, or experiential offerings rooted in wellness trends
Strategic Growth & Market Positioning Monitor competitive landscape, industry trends, and wellness innovations
Partner with senior leadership to set strategic goals, expansion plans, and brand initiatives
Drive new revenue streams—from partnerships, events, retail, packages, or retreats
Performance Metrics / KPIs Year-over-year revenue growth
Operating margins and cost control
Compliance and audit scores (health, licensing, safety)
Employee engagement, performance and retention
Guest satisfaction / NPS / reviews
Service provider utilization rates
Treatment room capacity utilization
Growth of retail revenue and product attachment
New service / program performance and adoption
Qualifications Experience
5+ years in spa, wellness, or luxury hospitality leadership (director-level preferred)
Proven experience with full P&L ownership, driving revenue growth and managing margins
Strong operations record, process improvement, and cost control
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a high-touch, guest service environment
Skills & Attributes
Financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, metrics-driven; Operational expertise: spa software (Zenoti preferred), inventory, scheduling, facilities; Compliance & risk management savvy (licensing, health/safety, regulatory); A refined eye for luxury service standards and guest experience; Strategic mindset with ability to execute initiatives and adapt to market change; Excellent communication, leadership, mentorship, and conflict resolution skills
