We're hiring a data-driven accountant for an integral position on our team. You’ll keep our general ledger up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, and use QuickBooks for tracking. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient.
Responsibilities
Process payroll to provide payment to employees on time
Complete bookkeeping duties: Data entry and record maintenance
Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial statements
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
Consistently input daily financial transactions and finalize the posting process
Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Process payroll and ensure accurate recording of employee compensation
Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices
Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
Assist with the implementation and monitoring of internal controls in compliance with SOX regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data for reporting purposes
Conduct financial analysis for work centers, identify cost trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits
Qualifications
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
Must have 2 or more years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a management accountant, bookkeeper, cost accountant or similar
Must know Cost Accounting
At least 3-5 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant, or bookkeeper
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Compensation $70,000 per year
