Job Overview We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Workers Compensation Attorney to represent and advocate for injured workers in all aspects of their claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal processes.

Key Responsibilities

Represent injured workers in all stages of workers' compensation claims, from initial filing to appeals and settlements

Conduct thorough case evaluations and develop effective legal strategies

Prepare and file all necessary legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs

Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure favorable settlements for clients

Appear and argue cases before workers' compensation judges and appellate courts

Conduct depositions of medical experts, employers, and other relevant parties

Analyze medical records and reports to build strong cases for clients

Stay current with changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations

Provide clear and compassionate communication to clients throughout their cases

Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management

Develop and maintain relationships with medical providers, vocational experts, and other professionals in the workers' compensation field

Participate in client intake and initial consultations

Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on complex legal issues

Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the firm's knowledge base

Attend and participate in continuing legal education seminars and workshops

Qualifications Required:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Active membership in good standing with the state bar

5-20 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law

Extensive knowledge of state and federal workers' compensation laws and regulations

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Excellent oral and written communication abilities

Proven track record of successful case outcomes and settlements

Ability to manage a high‑volume caseload efficiently

Proficiency in legal research and writing

Strong negotiation and advocacy skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred:

Experience with complex workers' compensation cases, including occupational disease claims

Familiarity with related areas of law, such as Social Security Disability and employment law

Leadership experience in mentoring junior attorneys or managing a legal team

Active involvement in professional organizations related to workers' compensation law

Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation
