We’re seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to help create the world's safest work environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact associate wellbeing while driving operational excellence.
Location: Louisville, KY
Responsibilities
Serve as the site's safety champion and implement the Global WHS Program.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and develop practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity.
Lead safety compliance efforts, perform thorough site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements.
Manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities, ensuring immediate care is always available.
Transform safety data into actionable insights and engage associates in the safety mission.

– Transform safety culture through leadership and innovative solutions, driving continuous improvement initiatives and leveraging technology and data analytics to set new benchmarks in workplace safety.
Strategic Partnership & Influence
– Build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into every aspect of the business, influence positive change, and balance safety excellence with operational demands.
Additional Job Elements Include
Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
Work in environments where noise levels and temperatures vary.
Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
Master’s degree.
Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic organization.
Certified Safety Professional.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
