Insurance Specialist – Temp

Location Fort Worth, TX | Remote – must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Compensation & Schedule • $20.00 – $24.00 per hour • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM • W2, Temporary (expected to conclude February 2026) • Start Date: ASAP ROLE IMPACT As a critical member of the insurance operations team, the Insurance Specialist ensures accuracy and compliance in managing escrow/tax impound accounts. This role plays a key part in safeguarding both customer satisfaction and regulatory alignment by processing, updating, and reconciling insurance data tied to residential mortgage servicing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Process and research insurance disbursements, lender-placed coverage, and exception items • Maintain accurate insurance records and update policies upon renewal or change • Manage insurance vendor communications and maintain good working relationships • Answer inbound calls, make outbound follow-ups, and resolve customer concerns • Reconcile escrow accounts, research refunds, and issue required letters to all stakeholders MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • 1+ years of experience with residential mortgage insurance and escrow • Working knowledge of PMI, FHA, and HUD MI • Experience using MSP mortgage servicing platform • High attention to detail with strong organizational and customer service skills CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS • MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform) • Microsoft Excel • Microsoft Word • 10-Key • EDI systems • Internal ticketing or audit systems PREFERRED SKILLS • Prior experience handling high call volume in a financial services environment • Background in vendor management or compliance documentation • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from CornerStone and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
