Coordinator, Design & Construction (Temp-to-Perm)

A leading multifamily real estate and property management firm is seeking a Coordinator to join its Design & Construction team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone who’s organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll play an integral role in supporting construction and renovation projects across a large and dynamic residential portfolio.
About the Role
As a Coordinator on the Design & Construction team, you’ll support daily project administration, coordination, and communication between internal teams, vendors, and leadership. You’ll manage paperwork, track project schedules, and ensure all contract, invoice, and reporting processes run efficiently and accurately. This position offers hands‑on exposure to large-scale construction and design projects throughout New York City, along with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the Design & Construction team, including managing contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and project documentation.
- Maintain project schedules, track milestones, and update internal systems with current information.
- Assist in preparing reports, tracking budgets, and reconciling construction costs.
- Coordinate deliveries, vendor communication, and project updates across departments.
- Provide administrative support to department leadership and assist with special projects as needed.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure timely completion of construction-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in construction coordination, project administration, or real estate operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Smartsheet, CMiC, or other construction management tools a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
