Pay Range

Base pay range: $17.50/hr – $17.50/hr. This range is provided by Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
• Clean, dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop or vacuum floors; empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers; empty and clean all ash trays and refill restroom dispensers
• Use and maintain vacuums, brooms, mops and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis

Qualifications / Basic Requirements

• General Janitorial experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to lift at least 30lbs

Scope of Responsibility & Positions Supervised

Works with minimal supervision.

Special Working Conditions

• Electrical equipment
• Work in dirty and dusty environments
• Bending/squatting required throughout the day while mopping, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, etc.
