The Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the Company’s invoices including coding, processing, and research. In addition, the position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing and Payment Monitoring: Research and enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies by investigating and addressing any issues promptly.
• Customer Communication and Issue Resolution: Communicate with internal and external customers regarding invoice inquiries and payment matters.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
• Financial Record Maintenance and Support: Prepare daily receivable deposits to ensure accurate recording of payments received.
• Assist with account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborative Support and Documentation: Provide support to other groups within the accounting department as needed, contributing to overall departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, ensuring documentation is organized and readily accessible for auditing purposes.

What you will bring

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable or experience in a general accounting position.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and is able to problem-solve.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Have analytical abilities, teamwork capabilities and be results-oriented.
• Ability to work in a high-volume department.
• Prior Produce industry experience is highly desirable.
• Food Distribution software experience would be a plus.
