Overview We are seeking an Infrastructure & DevOps Automation Lead with deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and cloud-native delivery pipelines. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure automation frameworks that accelerate development velocity, enforce consistency, and enable scalable, repeatable deployment patterns across multi‑cloud environments.

Core Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Architect and manage configuration management frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Chef) to maintain consistency, security, and compliance across environments.

Design and operate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent platforms to deliver fully automated, reliable, and traceable software deployments.

Partner with application, data, and SRE teams to define automated build, test, and release workflows that improve delivery frequency and system stability.

Standardize deployment templates, cloud provisioning scripts, and version‑controlled infrastructure artifacts to ensure reproducibility and scalability.

Optimize runtime environments using Linux (Red Head preferred) and modern shell scripting (Bash, Korn, Zsh) for automation and diagnostics.

Implement governance, monitoring, and cost‑optimization strategies across multiple cloud platforms.

Apply core SRE principles to infrastructure operations, building systems that are resilient, observable, and self‑healing.

Mentor junior engineers, establish IaC best practices, and contribute to DevOps maturity models across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Expert‑level proficiency in Terraform (HCL, modules, workspaces, and remote state management).

Strong understanding of cloud provisioning, resource dependencies, and environment orchestration.

Experience managing multi‑environment IaC workflows with GitOps‑based source control practices.

Configuration Management

Expertise in Ansible or Chef for configuration automation and application deployment.

Advanced Linux command line knowledge (process management, permissions, package management).

Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Korn, or Zsh) for automation and system diagnostics.

CI/CD Pipelines

Proven track record in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.

Experience designing repeatable delivery pipelines integrating build, test, security scanning, and deployment stages.

Familiarity with container‑based workflows (Docker, Kubernetes) and integration with CI/CD pipelines.

Cloud & Operating Systems

Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.

Deep understanding of Red Head Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or derivative distributions in production environments.

Awareness of networking, storage, and security fundamentals within cloud infrastructures.

Core SRE Concepts

Knowledge of architectural patterns at scale, including distributed system reliability and high availability.

Application of efficient computer engineering principles—designing systems for simplicity, automation, and resiliency.

Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and performance engineering as part of infrastructure operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating IaC pipelines with security compliance frameworks (e.g., Sentinel, OPA, or Conftest).

Exposure to policy‑as‑code and automated drift detection strategies.

Background in site reliability engineering (SRE), DevSecOps, or platform engineering.

Strong documentation and mentoring skills with an emphasis on knowledge transfer and cross‑functional enablement.

Why This Role Matters This role is at the heart of DevOps transformation—enabling teams to move faster with confidence. You'll drive automation, consistency, and scale across the infrastructure stack, ensuring that our systems are resilient, efficient, and ready for continuous innovation.
