Special Education Teacher – Early Intervention (SPED)

We are seeking Special Education Teachers who are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives within home and community settings.
Position Overview As a Special Education Teacher in our Early Intervention program, you will work with infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years old) with developmental delays. You will design and implement individualized intervention plans and partner with families to support their child’s educational and functional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct early childhood special education services to children in home and community settings
Implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
Conduct developmental assessments and progress monitoring
Work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary team members
Deliver family coaching to encourage developmental growth
Maintain documentation and service logs in compliance with NYC EI requirements

Qualifications
New York State certification in Special Education (Birth–Grade 2), Special Education Permanent Certification or TSSLD/TSHH
Experience with infants, toddlers, or early childhood preferred
Knowledge of Early Intervention service delivery models and documentation standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to travel within assigned boroughs of NYC
Physical Requirements
Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer)
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Rates are determined based on a combination of factors such as experience level, assignment location, service setting, and applicable program guidelines.
