Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) – Early Intervention

About TheraCare TheraCare has been a trusted provider of Early Intervention services across all five boroughs of New York City for over three decades. Our mission is to support the growth and development of children from birth to age 3 through family-centered, evidence-based practices. We are seeking Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) who are passionate about working with children and families in natural settings.
Position Overview As an LMSW providing Early Intervention services, you will support children from birth to age 3 with developmental delays. Services are delivered in home and community environments in partnership with families and other care team members. You will use your clinical expertise to provide both direct services and family support.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Early Intervention services to children ages 0–3 in home and community settings
Provide support to families as part of an interdisciplinary Early Intervention team
Develop and implement strategies aligned with IFSP goals
Document services and maintain records in compliance with NYC EI program standards
Engage in ongoing communication with caregivers, service coordinators, and related providers
Promote family capacity building through education and coaching

Qualifications:
Current LMSW license issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
Experience working with children under 5 and/or families strongly preferred
Knowledge of early childhood development and family-centered practice
Ability to work independently and manage documentation deadlines
Access to reliable transportation to travel throughout the assigned borough
Physical Requirements:
Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer)
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
*Rates are determined based on a combination of factors such as experience level, assignment location, service setting, and applicable program guidelines.
