HR Generalist

Responsibilities of HR Generalist:
Act as the primary point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and managers, escalating complex or sensitive matters as needed
Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and new hire onboarding
Administer and monitor employee leave programs, including FMLA, CT Paid Family Leave (CTPFL), CT Paid Sick Leave, Workers' Compensation, and related policies
Manage day-to-day HR administrative functions, including onboarding, benefits enrollment, and employee data updates in the HRIS system ( ADP )
Assist in implementing and promoting employee engagement and recognition programs
Coordinate performance review cycles and maintain training records and compliance tracking
Conduct or assist with workplace investigations and address employee relations issues in a consistent, fair, and confidential manner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, personnel files, and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Collaborate with supervisors and managers to support employee retention and satisfaction initiatives
Maintain working knowledge of and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
Perform additional duties and support HR-related projects as assigned
Preferred Experience of HR Generalist:
Associates degree preferred.
2-5 years of human resource experience required, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all members of the organization verbally, nonverbally, and in writing.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems. (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
