Overview
The AV Visual / Video Specialist plays a key role in delivering high-quality video experiences for live events, hybrid conferences, and corporate productions. This position focuses on camera operations, video display systems, and real-time visual integration — ensuring that all visual components, from projectors to LED walls, operate flawlessly and cohesively. You’ll work directly with producers, event coordinators, and technical teams to set up, operate, and maintain the video systems that bring live content to life. Key Responsibilities
Video & Camera Operations Set up, configure, and operate professional video cameras for live event coverage, recording, and streaming. Ensure optimal framing, focus, exposure, and color balance across all camera sources. Collaborate with technical directors to align multiple camera feeds for live switching or broadcast. Maintain and manage camera inventory, lenses, cables, and accessories. Display Systems (Visual Infrastructure) Configure and monitor stage monitors and confidence screens for presenters. Manage video distribution systems, ensuring correct routing of feeds to all display endpoints. Switching, Playback, and Media Servers Operate video switchers, scalers, and signal routers during events to transition seamlessly between sources. Troubleshoot latency, sync, or signal integrity issues during live operations. Pre-Event Preparation & Onsite Execution Support rehearsals and run-of-show execution with attention to timing and transitions. Provide on-site troubleshooting and post-event equipment strike and inventory. Qualifications
Required Minimum 3+ years of hands-on AV or video production experience. Technical proficiency with video cameras and switchers Understanding of signal flow, video resolutions, frame rates, and color management. Experience working in live event, broadcast, or corporate production environments. Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work flexible hours, and travel to event sites as needed. Preferred Skills
Familiarity with streaming workflows (RTMP, OBS, Zoom integration, etc.). Working knowledge of lighting and audio coordination for holistic event execution. Certification or coursework in AV technology, media production, or related field. Core Competencies
