Now Hiring: Human Resources Generalist – Security Industry Command International Security Services is seeking a versatile and proactive Human Resources Generalist to lead and support core HR functions across our organization. This role is ideal for a professional with strong command of California employment regulations, agency correspondence procedures, and a passion for building compliant, efficient, and employee-centered systems.

Administrative & Records Management

Maintain accurate employee records (digital and physical)

Generate and manage HR documents: offer letters, salary slips, disciplinary notices, termination packets

Ensure proper filing of benefits, attendance, and compliance documentation

Recruitment & Onboarding

Create and execute recruitment plans based on operational needs

Post job ads, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate background checks

Manage onboarding processes including orientation, policy education, and training schedules

Benefits, Payroll & Claims Coordination

Administer benefits programs and assist with claims resolution

Support payroll processing, wage garnishments, and salary adjustments using ADP software

Administer workers’ compensation and auto accident claims

Communicate benefit options and changes to employees

Employee Relations & Engagement

Address employee grievances and support conflict resolution

Conduct exit interviews and support morale-building initiatives

Assist with performance evaluations and development planning

Compliance & Policy Enforcement

Ensure adherence to federal and California labor laws (EEO, FMLA, wage/hour, BSIS, DIR, EDD)

Respond to DIR and EDD correspondence, including wage claims and benefit audits

File regulatory reports and maintain compliance logs

Update and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and handbook revisions

Systems & Collaboration

Use HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and ADP for tracking and reporting

Collaborate with management and external vendors to support HR operations and regulatory standards

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field

3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or compliance-heavy role

Strong knowledge of California labor laws, BSIS licensing, DIR/EDD procedures, and payroll protocols

Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office, and document management

Certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP (preferred but not required)

Experience in the security services industry is a plus
