External and Corporate Relations (ECR) is responsible for delivering financial and political support, safeguarding the Bank Group’s reputation, and supporting operational teams to achieve country outcomes. ECR manages corporate communications and global engagement with key stakeholders, including media, civil society, foundations, private sector, donor countries, and international organizations, as well as employee engagement. ECR also manages strategic communications for the World Bank’s Regions and Global Practices and leads reputation risk management. ECR Communication & Content (ECRCM)

is a unified, strategic organization representing all areas of the institution. Its mission is to deliver world-class communications and marketing leadership—driving clarity, creativity, innovation, and impact across audiences and channels. Through storytelling, brand stewardship, and data-driven engagement, the team supports the World Bank Group’s vision of ending poverty and promoting a sustainable future. This Manager for AI, Analytics and Digital leads a multidisciplinary team to drive AI integration, data-informed content strategy, and creative output. The Manager oversees AI, Creative Services, Measurement/Data and Analytics, and research-related communications, ensuring content production is guided by insights. The ideal candidate blends AI expertise with creative vision and analytical rigor to maximize impact of One World Bank Group communications. Key Responsibilities: AI, Measurement, Data, and Analytics:

Oversee AI integration into the ECR ecosystem, including media monitoring, measurement and analytics, and content performance across channels. Champion responsible use of AI to automate routine tasks and enhance analysis. Establish KPIs and a framework for evaluating communication effectiveness and present regular reports on content engagement to senior leadership. Content Strategy & Insights:

Develop and implement a data-informed content strategy. Use analytics and audience research to guide editorial calendars and priorities. Leverage data storytelling to improve engagement. Creative Services Oversight:

Lead the creative services team to produce high-quality visual and written content aligned with strategic goals. Integrate new technologies and AI-driven tools to improve content creation and audience engagement while maintaining brand standards. Translation Services:

Modernize translation platforms (including AI-assisted tools) to improve multilingual content delivery with quality control. Research Communications:

Collaborate with research teams to distill findings into accessible external content. Develop strategies for deploying major publications, including summaries, infographics, and media briefs. Cross-Team Collaboration:

Align content themes with other ECRCM managers, promote innovative content formats (interactive media, data visualizations), and foster innovation with prudent risk management. Selection Criteria An advanced degree in data science, information technology, communications, or related fields, and 12 to 15 years of progressively responsible experience. A background in data science and AI is preferred. Ability to interpret data to drive decision-making in content creation. Proficiency with analytics tools (web analytics, social media insights, SEO metrics) and experience building measurement frameworks. Comfort with data visualization and storytelling with insights. Experience integrating emerging technologies into content workflows. Familiarity with AI tools for content creation or analysis; knowledge of generative AI trends and ability to lead AI-driven initiatives. Experience managing creative teams and projects from concept to execution. Strong judgment for quality content and ability to guide creatives to align with messaging. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to coordinate across functional teams for integrated content products. Outstanding communication and writing skills. Ability to translate complex information into clear narratives for diverse audiences and to present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in multicultural or international environments. Familiarity with translation/localization processes and adapting content for different cultural contexts. A proactive approach to exploring new content formats and platforms. Stay current with industry trends in content marketing, digital media, and analytics. Openness to AI as an evolving tool with sound judgment about its limitations and ethical use.
