Overview
U.S. Electrical Testing specializes in electrical acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and commissioning services for mission-critical facilities, secure environments, commercial and industrial clients, and electrical contractors. Responsibilities
The Senior Electrical Test Technician works independently on small to medium-sized projects or as part of larger, complex projects. Responsible for the overall administration, organization, and implementation of the project.
Develop Electrical Testing Program for duty site and serve as the subject matter expert for the division's Operation and Maintenance program.
Manage or train operations staff to operate (monitor and control) and update system control applications, maximizing efficiency and revising controls as needed.
Assist in developing processes, SOPs, and training programs for operators of complex mechanical, electrical, and building control systems.
Implement procedures using CMMS to schedule, dispatch, track, and report maintenance and repair activities.
Manage integration, reliability, and functionality of building control systems including SCADA, Delta Controls, and Life Safety Systems.
Coordinate with the Program Manager to optimize system performance and meet energy goals.
Provide oversight; troubleshoot operational problems.
Assume supervisory responsibilities during electrical testing activities.
Assist in developing work and project schedules and safety procedures.
Perform troubleshooting, SCADA, relay testing, short circuit, and arc flash studies.
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization.
Expectations of Expertise & Knowledge
NETA / NICET certification (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA standards.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and manuals.
Proficiency with test equipment like Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, Fluke meters.
Knowledge of high-voltage systems, arc flash hazard analysis.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Willingness to travel and work in various environments.
Ability to perform acceptance and maintenance testing per NETA standards, including relay, circuit breaker, transformer testing, and safety protocols.
Maintain detailed reports and collaborate with team members and clients.
