Company My client is a globally operating and leading player in European Starches & Sweeteners food ingredients manufacturing industry, serving food, industrial and animal nutrition applications.
Position Overview
Experienced Regional Sales Manager for the North American / USA market.
Deep understanding of the food ingredients and modified food starches market with proven customer leadership track record.
Flexible mindset, excellent relationship‑building skills, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Position based in USA.
Key Tasks
Lead and manage sales activities across the USA region, focusing on growing presence in the modified food starches market.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and positioning solutions.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within targeted market segments, collaborating with R&D and technical teams.
Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activities, and customer requirements to develop effective sales strategies.
Work closely with internal teams (marketing, production, technical support) to align goals and ensure delivery of products and services.
Travel to customers across USA and occasionally to our European plant for team alignment and strategy development.
Have a strong network with producers and distributors in the food ingredients sector.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, Food Technology or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5‑7 years of sales experience in the food ingredients industry, focused on modified food starches or related products.
Proven customer leadership, managing and growing relationships with key accounts and distributors.
Strong knowledge of modified food starches and the USA food ingredients sector.
Medior / Senior level experience with a flexible, adaptable mindset for changing market dynamics.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Fluent in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
