Overview
Regional Associate Medical Director – Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care, Greater St. Louis
is a leadership role with GoHealth Urgent Care, which has partnered with Mercy, one of the largest and most dynamic health systems in the United States, to operate Mercy’s urgent care centers. The organization is seeking to add an experienced .5 FTE Admin Time / .5 FTE Clinical Associate Medical Director who will work in tandem with the Medical Director and APL Lead in the market.
This role will ensure medical staff are provided with support, feedback, education, training, and scheduling to maintain exceptional efficiency, client satisfaction, and patient experience. The position requires implementing medical practice procedures and policies that abide by external and internal regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
Provide medical staff support, feedback, education, training, and scheduling to sustain high levels of efficiency, client satisfaction, and patient experience.
Implement medical practice procedures and policies that comply with external and internal regulations and standards.
Collaborate with GoHealth provider leadership across Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care and clinical leadership to align practices and growth.
Coach and manage multiple operational centers while maintaining flexibility and prioritization of responsibilities.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds required
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical leadership/administrative experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or related field (preferably in a major medical center or health system)
Strong analytical, management, delegation, organizational, and mentoring skills to build and lead high-performing medical teams
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills; strong oral and written communication
Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities across several operational centers; acts as a coach and manager
Ability to establish authority with internal and external physicians and non-physician executives
Experience with generally accepted and current methods and techniques in the field
Experience with state-of-the-art centers, imaging, labs, and an advanced EMR (Epic)
