Job Summary The Department seeks affiliates to teach in‑person and online lecture and laboratory courses across a variety of chemistry areas. Courses include:
CH 206A – Chemistry for the Health‑Related Sciences (3 teaching credits)
CH 207A – Chemistry for the Health‑Related Sciences Laboratory (2 teaching credits)
CH 231 – General Chemistry II Laboratory (2 teaching credits)
CH 441 – Instrumental Analysis Laboratory (3 teaching credits)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Teach a wide range of courses in the Department of Chemistry based on departmental needs and applicant qualifications.
Prepare and deliver lectures and/or laboratory sessions, keeping accurate grade records and evaluating student performance.
Act as a part‑time employee hired on a per‑credit‑hour basis for semester‑by‑semester assignments.
Ensure teaching assignments align with University, College, and Department policies and provide additional academic support to students as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate in Chemistry or a related field.
Relevant teaching experience.

Work Schedule Work schedule will depend on the course schedule and availability of selected candidates.
Benefits These positions are eligible for workers’ compensation and receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
Pay Rate $3,225 per course of 3 teaching credits; $2,150 per course of 2 teaching credits; $1,075 per course of 1 teaching credit.
