This is a hybrid position, requiring extensive travel to remote sites throughout the state while driving a state fleet vehicle, or when appropriate, use of a personal vehicle with expensed mileage costs. Our client is seeking a Network Analyst. This role reports to the Deputy IT Director and collaborates with IT team members, facilities & maintenance staff, site leadership, and internal stakeholders to provide expertise and support for complex technical and network solutions. The Network Analyst II is a highly technical position responsible for managing multiple projects, modernizing agency infrastructure, and defining support procedures, including lifecycle planning for critical infrastructure, facilities, or building technologies. The role involves hands-on physical technology work, such as running cables, mounting equipment, and installing hardware. While not directly responsible for network administration, the analyst plays a key role in troubleshooting and coordinating solutions for network issues with IT leadership and external providers. Working independently and in teams, the analyst collaborates with senior technicians, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure reliable operation of infrastructure technologies across multiple locations, providing guidance on network systems, building automation, and life-safety technologies, adhering to industry standards, codes, and best practices. Tasks: Oversee installation and management of agency network infrastructure, surveillance, access control, fire/security systems, building automation, VoIP, etc. Assist with setups for new locations, renovations, and upgrades. Install and maintain network cabling, fiber, and structured wiring. Perform troubleshooting for network connectivity issues. Support audiovisual systems and web-conference technologies. Respond to technical requests related to network and facilities technologies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Understanding of IT best practices and security standards. Attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to prioritize and adapt. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Valid drivers license and ability to travel statewide. Physical ability to run cables, mount equipment, and work in network closets.

Skills and Experience:

5+ years in facilities infrastructure, access control, surveillance, telecommunications, or building automation. 5+ years in network connectivity, cabling, and physical installations. Experience with IT resources like A/V tech, web-conferencing, or POS systems. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and access mechanical spaces. Experience with funded IT infrastructure projects. Knowledge of network services: DNS, NTP, DHCP, Active Directory. Experience with card access and surveillance hardware/software. Experience with Cisco and Ubiquiti network solutions.
