Job Summary:
The Entry Summary Analyst supports the accurate and timely filing of customs entry summaries (CBP Form 7501) in compliance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations. Reporting directly to the Entry Summary Manager, this role is responsible for analyzing import documentation, validating classification and valuation data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring all post-entry corrections and compliance procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze import documentation including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists to prepare accurate entry summaries.
Accurately and efficiently enter required information into database system to prepare required documentation for entry.
Ensures that entries are filed on time in accordance with company and customer’s expectation.
Process client invoices and maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, customs, etc.
Respond to calls and questions from internal and external sources.
Verify classification (HTSUS), valuation, and partner government agency (PGA) requirements
Ensure timely filing and release of entries through ACE
Assist in post-entry work such as PSCs, protests, CF28/29 responses, and reconciliation
Identify and escalate discrepancies or compliance concerns to the Entry Summary Manager
Communicate with importers, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve entry issues
Maintain compliance with CBP regulations and changes in import requirements
Support audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting as needed
Help update standard operating procedures and documentation for the Entry Summary team Manage internal & external reports as needed

Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience in customs brokerage or import operations preferred
Understanding of CBP regulations and entry summary process
Familiarity with ACE, ABI software, and the HTSUS
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry systems
Strong work ethic, and self-motivated
Preferred:
Customs Broker License, length of service will be taken into consideration.
Experience with various types of entries (consumption, warehouse, FTZ, etc.)
Exposure to trade compliance or PGA regulations (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.)
