Job Description The Lockheed Martin Space Mission Processing team seeks a highly skilled RF Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy a major hardware system including antennas, software‑defined radios, and related RF connections as part of a first‑of‑its‑kind antenna system.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, document, and test RF circuits and systems, including amplifiers, filters, and antennas.
Perform hands‑on testing and troubleshooting of RF systems using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
Develop and implement test procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate RF systems with other components.
Work with software‑defined radio (SDR) systems and interfaces, including waveform development and testing.
Troubleshoot, debug, and debug RF system issues using a range of tools and techniques.
Install RF hardware and associated equipment.
Basic Qualifications
1+ year of related experience working on software development projects.
Understanding of RF circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, and components.
Knowledge of RF test and measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF power meters, etc.
Experience with Microsoft software products including Visio.
Experience with CAD software suites such as AutoCAD.
TS/SCI clearance.
Desired Skills
Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience with military satellite communications.
Experience with Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) and NSA encryption systems.
