Senior Structural Stress Analysis Engineer (Structural Analysis) Position at Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) – Washington Design Center, Everett & Renton, WA.

Position Overview Senior Structural Stress Analysis Engineer (Level 4) responsible for ensuring airplane structural integrity, meeting safety and regulatory requirements, and supporting the commercial airplane program.

Responsibilities

Lead development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design.

Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.

Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite‑element models and simulation tools throughout the product lifecycle.

Develop test plans, support test execution, analyze and report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements.

Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies.

Investigate failures and analyze improvements for in‑service products.

Integrate component‑level structural models and perform integrated finite‑element analysis.

Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.

Work independently with minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

5+ years of related work experience in structure/stress analysis.

10+ years of experience with an Engineering classification such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

ABET‑accredited or equivalent engineering degree.

3+ years of experience with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, or HyperMesh).

Experience with fatigue or durability analysis.

Experience in aerospace stress analysis.

Pay & Benefits Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid time off. Pay range: $124,100 – $167,900.
