Structural Stress Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced)

at our Commercial Airplanes Washington Design Center in Renton, WA. As a Structures Analysis engineer, you possess a solid understanding of airplane structural analysis methods and tools for both metallic and composite structures. You will ensure the airplane has sufficient strength to endure all conditions encountered during its operational life. The analyst also ensures the airplane structure meets all other design requirements including fail‑safety, durability and damage tolerance where applicable.

Position Responsibilities

Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design.

Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.

Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle.

Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

Support in‑service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

Work under general direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

2+ years related work experience in structural/stress analysis.

Experience with engineering classification such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Structural Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ABET‑accredited or equivalent engineering degree.

Experience with fatigue or durability analysis.

Experience in aerospace stress analysis.

Pay & Benefits Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Eligible employees may enroll in a variety of benefit programs including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, and paid and unpaid time off. Summary pay ranges: Associate (Level 2): $81,600–$110,400. Experienced (Level 3): $102,000–$138,000.
