Description The purpose of this position is to support the Administration of Baptist Health South Florida by providing a safe and secure environment for patients and the orderly operation of business throughout all serviced entities. The Security Officer is proficient in all aspects of BHSF security operations, works independently with little or no supervision, and acts in a lead capacity demonstrating knowledge of access control, surveillance systems, and security policies and procedures. The officer provides reporting information, controls staffing as required, and completes all BHSF security training and supplemental training classes as required.
Estimated pay range: $17.27 - $20.90 / hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience.
Licenses & Certifications
Basic Life Support within first 90 days of employment.
Driver's License from Florida.
Additional Qualifications
Experience in the field of security with a preference in a hospital setting.
Law enforcement or military experience desired.
Working knowledge of personal computers and software.
Required to complete BHSF security training program before the completion of the probationary period and additional training classes as offered.
Minimum required experience: 1 year.
