Senior Reliability Engineer (Remote - Up to 65% Travel)

Are you a hands-on reliability leader passionate about turning data and strategy into measurable performance gains? We're looking for a
Senior Reliability Engineer
to lead the charge in advancing asset reliability and operational excellence across our manufacturing network.
In this high-impact role, you'll design, implement, and sustain world-class reliability programs - combining Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles with cutting-edge digital tools (CMMS/SAP) to maximize equipment uptime, safety, and efficiency. You'll partner with plant leaders across the country, guiding them toward lasting improvements in maintenance culture, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
What You'll Do
Lead RCM implementation
to identify asset criticality, failure modes, and optimal maintenance strategies.
Champion digital reliability tools
- drive effective use of CMMS/SAP for work order management, asset tracking, and analytics.
Coach and mentor site teams
to assess readiness, build reliability skills, and strengthen maintenance talent.
Provide on-site support
to align reliability practices with facility needs and establish measurable, long-term improvements.
Analyze and eliminate failures
using RCS and FMEA methodologies; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Develop predictive and preventive maintenance programs
that extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime.
Benchmark and share best practices
across the organization to deliver step-change improvements in reliability and cost.
Collaborate cross-functionally
with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and IT to deliver integrated reliability solutions.
Support sustainability goals
through reliability enhancements that reduce waste and energy use.
Report and communicate results
through KPIs, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
What Will You Bring:
Requires one of the following:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and six (6) years of reliability engineering experience, OR
Associate's degree and ten (10) years of related reliability engineering experience
Experience in maintenance technical leadership
Background in reliability fundamentals and maintenance workflow processes
Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs and principles
Experience developing and implementing Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs
Demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and maintenance work process optimization. Experience applying Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and (FMEA)
Hands on experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and SAP in a manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to communicate change, persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain technical or difficult issues
Ability to establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress on work projects, and communicate with project partners
Strong coaching and mentoring skills
Ability to lead cross-functional groups and to drive improvements through influence
Experience with change management and effectively present to an audience or one-on-one of all levels within the organization
Experience working with plastics extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, paper printing and/or paper converting processes
Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and data analytics
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent reliability certification
Certifications in Predictive Maintenance Technologies
Bachelor's degree
Experience in plastics, paper, or related manufacturing processes
