Hourly Rate $17.25

Summary Coordinates communication between servers and kitchen to ensure proper timing in service. Brings meals to servers or serves meals to patrons. Performs specific side duties as assigned by supervisor. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.’s Signature Service standards ensuring exemplary service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Relays orders to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and bar.

Ensures all dishes are garnished according to kitchen manager standards.

Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed.

Assists with removal of all china, glassware, and silverware from dining room.

Ladles soup, tosses salads, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by particular restaurant practices.

Helps clear and reset tables at conclusion of each course.Completes assigned side work prior to opening and completes all closing duties thoroughly.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications Education and/or Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience.

Previous experience as a bus person required. Food runner experience a plus, especially in fine dining.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers and employees.

Reasoning Ability

Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have and maintain a current Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand for extended times, walk, use hands to handle objects, reach, lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.

May involve moving by wet or humid conditions and exposure to fumes, chemicals, or moving parts.

Working Conditions

Work near moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to wet conditions, chemicals, electrical shock, and sharp objects.

Noisy environment, moderate to loud. Fast pace.
