Structural Stress Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced)
Overview We are hiring for a Structural Stress Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced) at Boeing’s Commercial Airplanes division, based at the Washington Design Center in Renton, WA. The engineer will ensure that all aircraft structures meet strength, durability, and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities
Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design.
Coordinate with other engineering groups to define the product’s environment.
Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Define and document certification and test results, substantiating that requirements are satisfied for customers and regulatory agencies.
Support in‑service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
Work under general direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
2+ years of related work experience in structural/stress analysis.
Experience with engineering classifications such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ABET‑accredited or equivalent engineering degree.
Experience with Fatigue or Durability Analysis.
Experience in aerospace stress analysis.
