Overview Our client, a stable, well-established manufacturer, is seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join their HR team. This position will primarily focus on benefits administration and leave management, with additional responsibilities supporting training initiatives and company events.

Key Responsibilities
Administer all employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellness initiatives.
Serve as the main point of contact for employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policy and Massachusetts leave laws.
Partner with the third-party administrator and benefits broker to manage a private PMFLA plan.
Maintain and update HR systems related to benefits and leaves; collaborate with HRIS team to ensure data accuracy and file feeds.
Assist with training and LMS (UKG Ready) initiatives—uploading, maintaining, and deploying learning content to employees.
Support company events such as appreciation celebrations, seasonal gatherings, and employee engagement initiatives.
Provide a compassionate, solutions-oriented employee experience—offering support and guidance rather than simply redirecting inquiries.
Participate in open enrollment, benefits communication, and reporting.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum
3 years of HR experience
with a strong focus on
benefits and leave administration
(Massachusetts experience preferred).
Demonstrated
system and technology proficiency , ideally with HRIS or LMS platforms.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a high-touch, employee-first approach.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Preferred, not required:
Experience with
UKG Ready
or a similar HRIS
Exposure to
training and LMS administration
Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, or HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
