Three (3) days per week : The instructor’s primary responsibilities are to provide active and effective learning for students in all applicable educational settings, act as professional and academic role models, and commit to student satisfaction. This includes teaching in classrooms, labs, and outside the classroom during campus and student activities. The position delivers high‑quality instruction, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands‑on experience, develops and implements curriculum, assesses student progress, and ensures adherence to industry standards and best practices. Instructors are required to teach both didactic and clinical courses.

Responsibilities

Organize and deliver class objectives in a clear, concise manner.

Foster and maintain an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for students in classrooms and labs.

Maintain and prepare training aids, tools, and equipment in the classroom and lab.

Maintain curriculum accuracy by keeping up to date on industry standards and practices.

Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments.

Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve academic and professional success.

Identify and report on any at‑risk students; create individualized success plans to mitigate attrition.

Foster relationships with students to help them meet program competency requirements.

Provide periodic and ad‑hoc reporting to stakeholders.

Meet with students and education personnel to discuss instructional programs and related issues.

Maintain regular, substantive interaction with students in online course components.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.

Deliver engaging lectures and lab sessions on assigned topics, diagnostic procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED (required).

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing or higher preferred.

Unencumbered CA Registered Nurse license.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Four (4+) or more years of nursing experience.

Direct and specialized knowledge in the area of instruction (required).

Standard Skills

Demonstrate and explain clinical skills accurately, answer students' questions confidently, and ensure safe, evidence‑based clinical practices.

Present simulations, case studies, and hands‑on training to reinforce learning.

Provide hands‑on training in a variety of clinical procedures, techniques, and processes.

Specific Skills

Expertise in the area of assignment that demonstrates the skills needed to provide instruction.

Design and deliver engaging educational content, adapting teaching methods to diverse learning styles.

Build rapport with students, clinical partners, and colleagues, fostering a positive learning environment.

Flexibility to stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practices.

Competence in evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective instruction and interaction with students and colleagues.

Commitment to ongoing learning and participation in professional growth opportunities.

Standard Abilities & Work Environment

Ability to use hearing and sight; communicate with students and provide direct instruction.

Use fine motor skills to operate personal computers, manual and electrical equipment, and diagnostic/procedural equipment.

Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with mechanical assistance as needed.

Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to provide instruction in labs.

Communicate, think, learn, and reason.

Use computers to process transactions, store documents, and enter data.

Safely ambulate and maneuver on site.

Demonstrate active listening, inductive reasoning, and information ordering.

Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.

Work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.

Work Environment : Work is performed indoors in a climate‑controlled environment on site at the assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate and follow all safety precautions, including use of personal protective equipment.
