Overview
Senior Staff Auditor, US Card and Auto Finance businesses (Hybrid) at Capital One. Capital One’s Audit function provides top-quality assurance services to the organization’s Audit Committee in a collaborative, agile environment. Capital One is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Senior Auditor to join the Consumer Lending Audit team. The role focuses on audits involving operational and compliance-related activities for the US Card and Auto Finance businesses. Responsibilities
Perform risk assessments of business activities and conduct testing based on the associated risks and processes. Communicate issues, risks and recommendations to all levels of management. Operate independently and ensure work is completed to schedule with high-quality standards. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners and the extended Audit group. Leverage data and analytical tools during planning and fieldwork phases of audit delivery. Proactively follow up on agreed audit actions to ensure management delivers commitments within the specified timescales. Proactively seek learning opportunities to enhance skills and competencies related to the role. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or military experience At least 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, financial analysis, risk management, or compliance (or a combination) Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Auditing, Accounting, Information Systems or MBA Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 2+ years in banking or financial services, or in a professional services firm serving large banks 2+ years of experience performing data analysis in support of internal auditing Work Arrangements
This role is hybrid, meaning associates will spend 3 days per week in-person at an office listed on this posting. Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual work days. Monday–Thursday are in-person days for collaboration in team spaces. Compensation and Benefits
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries are location-based and listed below for Senior Staff Auditor. Salaries for part-time roles are prorated. This role may include performance-based incentives. Capital One offers a comprehensive, inclusive set of benefits; eligibility varies by status and level. Salary ranges by location include: McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 Riverwoods, IL: $86,000 - $98,200 Other locations follow pay ranges associated with their location. The actual offer will be reflected in the offer letter. This role is eligible for incentive compensation which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Equal Opportunity
