AVP & Commercial/Agricultural Lender
Location Graceville, MN
Overview Solicit loans, deposits, and financial services. Originate and maintain commercial and agricultural loan relationships. Manage credit portfolio with primary accounts averaging greater than $250K. Provide credit analysis, approval, and monitoring for new and existing customers. Monitor financial statements for covenant requirements. Perform collateral audits, accounts receivable analysis, and borrowing base certificate reviews. Sell products to generate fee income. Collaborate with senior bankers, assist with relationship management, ongoing customer communication, and cross‑selling. Perform all responsibilities according to compliance and audit requirements.
Responsibilities
Contact prospects and customers for new business.
Interview loan applicants.
Analyze credit worthiness.
Establish loan structures within policy framework and extend loans up to authorized limits.
Ensure accurate documentation.
Monitor loan repayments.Collect loans in default.
Refer larger loan requests for approval or denial per policy.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (BA) and five plus years of experience in agriculture field and/or commercial lending.
Formal credit training to analyze complex balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and appropriate ratios.
Remain current on banking rules and regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
Pay attention to detail and accuracy.
Communicate new ideas productively.
Independent, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Math aptitude and ability to find system errors.
Proficiency with bank software and technology.
Team orientation and ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
Self‑motivation, strong organization, and excellent communication and phone skills.
