About the Opportunity
Our client, a world-renowned nonprofit arts organization , is seeking a Staff Accountant to provide interim support during a maternity leave. This 3-4 month engagement offers the chance to contribute to a mission-driven institution known for its cultural impact and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and month-end close activities.
Complete reconciliations between Financial Edge and Razor's Edge to ensure accuracy across fundraising and accounting records.
Manage bookstore inventory and sales reconciliations, including preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
Oversee petty cash management and provide general accounting support to the finance team.
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:
Strong general ledger accounting experience.
Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Index-Match).
High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a monthly close cycle.
Preferred Experience with Financial Edge and / or Razor's Edge ; nonprofit accounting background.
