Responsibilities

Under supervision of a registered nurse, perform duties related to preparing the operating room for surgery. The OR Equipment Technician applies the principles of growth and development when assessing and interpreting patient information and planning and implementing individualized care based on the age‑related needs of the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient and their families.

Requirements

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Certification:

BLS level CPR Certification required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Effectively communicate and deal tactfully with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.

Read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.

Be flexible, exhibit personal integrity, and function effectively as a team member.

Have computer proficiency and technical aptitude with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Outlook) and Epic Performance Manager/NetLearning.

Follow written and oral instructions.

Work independently and make independent decisions when warranted.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
