The Associate, Growth Marketing for The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports to the Manager of Growth Marketing. The role focuses on growing and optimizing global customer acquisition programs for new subscribers worldwide. It is highly collaborative and involves cross‑functional work across the organization. Role is based in New York City, NY. Must work from the Midtown Manhattan office 3× a week (Tuesday through Thursday). You Will

Execute WSJ’s global subscription acquisition marketing strategy. Partner with internal paid media teams to ensure media budgets are delivered and campaign goals are met. Manage and optimize owned media channels, including email and onsite, to meet targets. Monitor ongoing campaigns with cross‑functional teams for efficient planning, launch, run time, and take down. Provide post‑campaign analysis, identifying effective tactics and areas for improvement. Improve and optimize conversion journeys through experiments. Collaborate with brand, paid media, product, news, marketing ops, and content marketing teams to identify creative acquisition opportunities. Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and new technologies impacting digital marketing and MarTech platforms. You Have

0–2 years of performance marketing and/or acquisition marketing experience. The willingness to work in the Midtown Manhattan office three days a week. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast‑paced environment. A proactive, self‑starter mindset and excellent communication skills. A passion for journalism, publishing, and/or financial news. Preferred: Experience running end‑to‑end acquisition marketing campaigns that encompass owned and paid media properties. Preferred: Hands‑on experience with campaign management, including developing and reporting on metrics and KPIs for business goals. Preferred: Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and A/B testing. Preferred: Experience identifying meaningful, actionable insights within past acquisition marketing campaigns.
