Pay Range Base pay range: $66,951.00/yr – $85,138.00/yr.
Responsibilities The Research Scientist 1 will work within the Bureau of Data Analytics, Research, and Evaluation, Division of Family Health. The role supports infant health programs including reducing infant mortality through data linkages, analytics, surveillance, reporting, research, and evaluation.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Biostatistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field and two years of post‑degree professional research experience; OR a Master’s degree in one of the above fields and one year of such experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a closely related Health Science degree.
Intermediate proficiency in data analysis, database, statistical and qualitative software.
Intermediate proficiency in SAS BASE, SQL, MACRO, REPORT, Tableau, or other related software tools.
Additional Information Full‑time, permanent, non‑competitive appointment.
This position may require travel throughout New York State including overnight stays to areas not served by public transportation.
