The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting functions, including month‑end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis. This role focuses on the corporate entity (not property‑level accounting) and will support consolidations, intercompany transactions, and general ledger management. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, real‑estate industry experience, and a detail‑oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities for corporate entities.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Manage intercompany transactions and eliminations across multiple entities.
Assist with consolidated financial reporting and analysis for management and investors.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at the corporate level.
Coordinate with property accounting teams to ensure accurate roll‑up and reporting.
Assist with external audits, tax filings, and compliance documentation.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Support accounting system maintenance, integrations, and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
CPA or CPA‑track preferred .
3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate or a related industry.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and multi‑entity accounting.
Experience with real‑estate accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) preferred.
Advanced proficiency with Excel; experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or comparable ERP systems a plus.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities; comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
