We are seeking an experienced
Accounting Advisory Manager
to lead consulting engagements on complex accounting transactions for our clients. You will help clients address transactional, regulatory, and strategic needs, including adoption of new accounting standards, accounting framework conversions, IPO assistance, and on‑call accounting advice.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Lead multiple engagements and consult on complex accounting transactions
Consult on technical accounting matters including adoption of new accounting standards, preparing technical accounting positions, and providing support around transaction audit review
Provide transaction accounting support for business combinations, carve‑outs and initial public offerings
Prepare financial statements and SEC filings including 10‑Ks, 10‑Qs, 8‑Ks and pro‑forma financial views
Assist clients with first‑time audit readiness or audit readiness support
Provide on‑call assistance
Ensure work is performed timely, with quality, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
Identify market trends to be a proactive problem solver and sought‑after adviser to clients and colleagues
Train and supervise less‑experienced colleagues and provide consistent, regular feedback
Work at a client site, in the office, or remotely as needs arise, with flexibility to choose when and where to work
Represent the company at recruiting and professional networking events
Build technical and professional skills through formal training
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Technical Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related disciplines; Master’s degree a plus
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial statement audits, accounting advisory services, or corporate accounting/finance center of excellence focusing on complex accounting transactions
Active CPA license required
Working knowledge of ASC 606 and/or ASC 842, complex debt, equity, and employee compensation, audit readiness, IPO processes or other capital transactions, organizational restructuring including acquisitions, carve‑outs, or spin‑offs, GAAP conversations, and financial instruments
Proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting rules and standards, accounting transactions, or M&A services
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities
Teamwork, agility, and a strong relationship‑building mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Travel up to 30% as needed
Base Salary
(New York and Boston, MA): $121,000 – $181,400; Chicago: $112,000 – $168,000; San Francisco and San Jose: $128,800 – $193,200.
