About the role
Do you want to be part of shaping the future of Sustainable Starch Potato Production?
Are you ready to take the lead in securing the raw materials of tomorrow? KMC is seeking an AgroDirector to lead the growth, innovation, and sustainability efforts in starch potato production, ensuring a reliable supply for the next 10 to 15 years.
Responsibilities In the role of Agro Director , you will set the strategic direction for KMC’s Agro department and continue the development of the department as a centre of excellence.
You will manage seed potato production and innovation, build strong networks with both national and international stakeholders, and act as a liaison between research, regulation, and business. Collaborating with breeding companies, KMC’s internal R&D team, and universities, you will foster innovation and help KMC stay ahead of future regulations and climate challenges.
As a direct report to KMC’s CEO , you will be part of the management team and work closely with the Board of Directors. You will lead a team of seven dedicated employees and serve as a proactive partner for both KMC's management team and the commercial department.
You will play a crucial role
in shaping the future of sustainable starch potato production, helping to establish KMC as a recognised national and international centre of excellence. This position offers you the opportunity to drive innovation and have a direct impact on the starch potato industry.
Qualifications You are a visionary leader
with a master’s degree in agro, plant science, or a commercial field, coupled with extensive experience in agriculture. You should have a minimum of eight years of experience in crop production/development, providing you with a solid understanding of the agriculture industry.
You have experience
in business management, including strategy development and execution, along with proven stakeholder management skills and strong networks with relevant authorities.

About KMC KMC is a modern Cooperative owned by Danish starch‑potato farmers that develops and produces potato‑based ingredients such as dehydrated potato powder products, potato starch, fibres, and protein. Every year, KMC uses more than two million mt of potatoes for its production in Brande, Karup, and Toftlund. The company continuously invests in new process technology and food safety (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 (HACCP), GMP+, ISO 50001, etc.).
Today, from its base in Brande, Central Jutland, KMC exports more than 90% of its production to 90 countries. This is handled through its own sales organisation and own sales companies in England, Germany, Asia and the Middle East, as well as distributors.
