Germany Sales Manager, Phosphates & Specialty Ingredients Food and Petfood (Remote)m/f/d Remote role based in Germany.

Our product portfolio serves meat processors, spice blenders, bakers, and potato processors worldwide.

We partner with customers to enhance texture, shelf life, nutritional value, and processing efficiency by collaborating across R&D, regulation, and supply chain functions.

Position Overview

Seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to drive growth of phosphate and complementary ingredient lines in pet food and food sectors.

Knowledge/background in technology is an asset.

The fully remote role owns the end‑to‑end sales cycle—from lead generation and product specification to commercial close—for key verticals such as meat processing, spice blending, baking, and potato industries.

Serve as the technical face of our business, translating ingredient science into clear value propositions that address customer challenges.

Tasks

Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy for specialty food ingredients across Germany and neighbouring countries.

Identify and qualify new prospects within pet food manufacturers and human food processors, building a robust pipeline.

Deliver technical presentations and conduct on‑site or virtual trials to demonstrate product performance.

Collaborate closely with R&D to adapt formulations, drive innovation, and support new product development.

Manage pricing negotiations, contract proposals, and order forecasting to achieve or exceed sales targets.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, and translate insights into actionable plans.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline (or Master/Butcher).

Minimum of 5 years’ technical sales or application support experience in the food ingredients industry. Experience with a producer or distributor preferred.

Demonstrated success selling functional ingredients such as phosphates, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, acids, proteins, fibres, and yeast.

Deep understanding of ingredient functionality in meat processing, spice formulation, baking, and potato applications.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage R&D, production, and procurement stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage a remote sales territory, including self‑motivation, strong organization, and virtual collaboration.

Willingness to travel 30–40 % for customer visits, industry events, and cross‑functional meetings.

Fluency in German and English; additional language skills are a plus.

Fully remote position with flexible working hours.
