LIS/LTS Manager – CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) Location: San Diego, California, United States.

About The Role:

You will manage a team responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all scientific instrumentation within a laboratory. The role oversees the full lifecycle of laboratory equipment, handles vendor‑managed services and self‑performed maintenance, and serves as the central point‑of‑contact for instrument‑related activities, focusing on operational efficiency, technical proficiency, and regulatory compliance.

What you’ll do

Oversee and manage the LIS program, including vendor management and self‑perform maintenance and calibration services.

Ensure all procedures are performed properly and maintain program standards.

Support the development and administration of the department budget.

Review expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, and contract requirements and submit for approval.

Review and update LIS and LTS equipment, maintenance, and calibration procedures.

Track, evaluate, and report performance on quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction.

Manage contractor specifications, performance, and administration.

Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports.

Order and track inventory of spare parts and consumables.

Apply in‑depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to provide innovative solutions.

Coach team members and share knowledge across disciplines.

Model CBRE RISE values and lead by example.

Build consensus and influence agreements.

Drive process improvements in instrument maintenance, vendor relations, and troubleshooting.

Supervise employees, including performance evaluations, coaching, and recruitment.

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience and education).

Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, and performance management.

Strong leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with impact across departments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Organizational skills and strong analytical abilities (e.g., calculations of percentages, fractions).

Compensation The maximum salary for the role is $160,050 annually. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
